Review: Real Techniques Make Up Brushes

8 December , 2013

**2023 update**

I still have these same brushes nearly 10 years on, and have added many more of them to my collection.  They just keep going. I wash and dry them, and they are as good as new again!

I fully admit I am a bit (lot) addicted to these.  It started out innocently with the purchase of the expert face brush as I had seen a lot of the beauty bloggers on YouTube using it.  And it made applying my foundation so quick and easy.

That was the introduction to the range, they are brilliant brushes with a really sensible price.  I have seen the MAC brushes but the prices of them are crazy.  The expert face brush is £9.99 (on offer at amazon at the moment for £7.49)

Next I got the powder brush, it is so big and soft and just sweeps loose or pressed power on, never too heavy.

When I bought the Urban Decay Naked Basics eye palette I ‘needed’ some new eye brushes to make sure I got the best out of it (yes I know, marketers dream, they seem me coming blah blah) so I then got the eye starter set  which has everything you need to do all eye things, shadow, brows, liner etc.

The Real Techniques site also has some brilliant videos that has fed my YouTube make up tutorial addiction.

I have bought my brushes from amazon as they often have them on offer, but I know boots sometimes has them on 3 for 2.

My latest buy was the shading brush which I actually use for under eye concealer application, another tip picked up from the videos on the site.

The brushes was really well and dry fast so no missing a day of using them whilst waiting for them to dry.

What I really NEEEEEEED next is Sam’s Picks Limited Edition Set, and when I say need, I mean want.
