Before Christmas, I decided to make all our dog friends personalised bandanas.
I purchased a pdf pattern from Etsy*, the pattern and instructions were really easy to follow. And came with 3 different-sized patterns to suit all dog breeds.
Hobbycraft had some brilliant dog Christmas fabric fat quarters, perfect for this project.
To save time cutting all the fabric, I purchased a hobbycraft rotary fabric cutter and self healing cutting mat, this made cutting the 17 – well actually 34 shapes out.
The pattern from Etsy* is a pdf so you print it all at home and can use it straight away.
These are a great beginner sewing project as there are not many sides to sew, and you just need to use a straight stitch.

Once all the bandanas were made I then used my Silhouette Camo 4 to design and cut out the iron on vinyl for the names on each one. But you can use a Cricut machine, or buy some iron-on letters for a similar effect.
I used the Passenger Script font for the names, then used my Cricut heat press to add them to the dog bandanas.

Everyone who received them in December wore them with pride! They made a really great gift, and you can create them anytime!
